Mikhail Grishankov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation: “If the spread of HIV/AIDS is not stopped today, tomorrow may be too late. The overwhelming majority of HIV-positive people are young – between the ages of 15 and 29. We cannot allow this situation where youth are labeled ‘socially unpromising’ and cut adrift. They need support from the government and civil society, from every one of us. Policymakers cannot sit on the sidelines; that is why many of my colleagues and I have stepped into the fight against this global threat. Our recipe for success is to join forces and coordinate efforts.”
